Compare · Windows or Android for Zone 2
These two rugged tablets do different jobs. The BARTEC ET60/65EX2 Android is a 10.1-inch, 1,074 g tablet that runs Android 14 and carries a UL listing for Class I Division 2 on its North America types. The Getac F110-EX G7 is an 11.6-inch, 1,680 g tablet that runs Windows 11 Pro on a 13th-generation Intel Core processor and is certified up to +60 °C. Both are intrinsically safe (Ex ic), IIC T4, certified for Zone 2/22, with hot-swap batteries that are changed outside the hazardous area only. Neither may be used in Zone 1. Here is how they compare, and which we would choose for which team.

Our verdict
Start with the software your crews run. If your apps are Android, or you need a North American Class I Division 2 listing or a published ATEX certificate, we would choose the BARTEC ET60/65EX2 Android, which is also 606 g lighter. If your crews need Windows desktop software on a large screen, or your sites run hotter than +55 °C, we would choose the Getac F110-EX G7, keeping in mind that its certification in our data is IECEx only and we have found no North American listing for it.
Key differences
This decides the job. The BARTEC ET60/65EX2 Android runs Android 14 on an Arm processor, so it suits Android apps and the push-to-talk and scanning apps built for them. The Getac F110-EX G7 runs Windows 11 Pro on x86, so it runs desktop Windows software natively.
The BARTEC ET60/65EX2 Android has a UL listing for Class I, II and III Division 2, for the North America types only. Our data has no North American listing for the Getac F110-EX G7, so check with Getac before specifying it for a Division 2 site.
The BARTEC ET60/65EX2 Android weighs 1,074 g and the Getac F110-EX G7 1,680 g, a gap of 606 g. You notice that on a strap or in one hand through a shift.
The Getac F110-EX G7 has an 11.6-inch screen and the BARTEC ET60/65EX2 Android a 10.1-inch one, both optically bonded. The larger screen suits drawings and desktop applications. The smaller one suits a tablet that is carried and used on the move.

This is a choice of platform before it is a choice of tablet. The BARTEC ET60/65EX2 Android runs Android 14 with Zebra Mobility DNA and LifeGuard on a Qualcomm 6490 octa-core Arm processor with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, plus a microSD slot of up to 2 TB. BARTEC’s datasheet says it is upgradeable to Android 16. It comes as the Wi-Fi-only ET60 or the 5G ET65.
The Getac F110-EX G7 runs Windows 11 Pro on a 13th-generation Intel Core i5 or i7 with 16 GB of DDR5 (32 GB optional) and a 256 GB SSD, with options up to 2 TB. It has Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, with optional 4G LTE or 5G Sub-6. Pick it when the application in your field workflow is a Windows program. Pick the BARTEC ET60/65EX2 Android when your workflow runs in Android apps.
Edge: BARTEC ET60/65EX2 Android
Both are marked Ex ic op is (the BARTEC ET60/65EX2 Android only with its optional scan engine, otherwise Ex ic), IIC T4 Gc for gas and IIIC Dc for dust, for Zone 2/22. The BARTEC ET60/65EX2 Android holds ATEX (EPS 25 ATEX 1 087 X) and IECEx (EPS 25.0018X) certificates, with a dust surface temperature of 135 °C and IP64 in the marking. The Getac F110-EX G7 holds IECEx EPS 21.0079X, with a dust limit of 130 °C. Getac also states ATEX certification, but the certificate is not published. Its IECEx certificate names the model “F110-Exc” without the generation, and our match to this tablet is unconfirmed, so confirm the exact model with Getac.
For North America, the BARTEC ET60/65EX2 Android is listed by UL for Class I Division 2 Groups A to D, Class II Division 2 Groups F and G, and Class III Division 2, at T4. That covers the B7-T2E1 and B7-T2E3 types only, and under the NEC and CEC its Zone 22 dust group is IIIB, not IIIC. Our data has no North American listing for the Getac F110-EX G7. Heat goes the other way: the Getac F110-EX G7 is certified to +60 °C ambient, against +55 °C.

Both can scan with a built-in engine. The BARTEC ET60/65EX2 Android takes an optional SE55 1D/2D scan engine, which changes its Ex marking to “op is”. The Getac F110-EX G7 offers an optional integrated 1D/2D imager and an optional HF RFID reader. For photos, the BARTEC has a 16 MP autofocus rear camera with flash and an 8 MP front camera with a mechanical privacy shade; the Getac has an 8 MP autofocus rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. Both read NFC, the Getac through its optional reader.
The Getac F110-EX G7 has the bigger display: 11.6 inches at 1,920 × 1,080 and 1,200 nits, with a digitizer pen. The BARTEC ET60/65EX2 Android is 10.1 inches at 1,000 nits and takes bare or gloved fingertip or stylus input; our data does not confirm glove touch for the Getac. The BARTEC lists a 1.5 m drop to concrete and the Getac a 1.2 m drop in use, and both cite MIL-STD-810H. Getac lists IP66; for the BARTEC, IP64 is in the Ex marking and its datasheet says IP66, so we treat its figure as unconfirmed.

Both tablets have a user-replaceable, hot-swap battery, and both must be changed and charged outside the hazardous area. The BARTEC ET60/65EX2 Android has an 8920 mAh battery, and an internal supercapacitor keeps power during swaps. BARTEC states up to 10 hours indoors with WLAN on and a 50 % backlight. The Getac F110-EX G7 uses two 2680 mAh batteries (typical, 11.4 V), with larger 4200 mAh ones optional, and its LifeSupport technology allows swapping. Our data has no runtime figure for the Getac, so we do not compare battery life.
Ports differ in the zone. The BARTEC’s USB-A, USB-C, dock and keyboard connectors may be used only if the atmosphere is shown to be absent, and its charging accessories are not included. On the Getac F110-EX G7, the certificate bars every connection interface from hazardous areas, and its SIM and spare SSD are replaceable in non-hazardous areas only. Either way, plan to dock, charge and transfer data at a safe-area point.

FAQ
Neither is better across the board, because they run different platforms. The BARTEC ET60/65EX2 Android suits Android apps, North American Division 2 sites and crews who carry it all shift at 1,074 g. The Getac F110-EX G7 suits Windows software, large-screen work and sites up to +60 °C. Both are certified for Zone 2/22.
No. Both are intrinsically safe (Ex ic) and certified to protection level Gc, which covers Zone 2 only, so neither is for Zone 1 or Zone 0. For Zone 1 you need a tablet certified for it, which also works in Zone 2.
Our data shows a UL listing for the BARTEC ET60/65EX2 Android: Class I Division 2 Groups A to D at T4, for the B7-T2E1 and B7-T2E3 types only. We have found no North American listing for the Getac F110-EX G7, which is not the same as saying it has none, so ask Getac.
We cannot rank them. The Getac F110-EX G7 runs Windows 11 Pro, which is supported while it is kept on a current Windows 11 version. For the BARTEC ET60/65EX2 Android our data shows December 2031, which is Zebra’s date for the tablet it is built on, and BARTEC says it needs a LifeGuard service contract, so treat it as unconfirmed.
No. Both must be charged and have their batteries changed outside the hazardous area. Both do offer hot-swap batteries, so a tablet can keep running while you swap in a safe area. Port use in the zone is restricted on both, as the field sections explain.
Both offer one as an option. The BARTEC ET60/65EX2 Android takes an SE55 1D/2D scan engine, which changes its Ex marking to “op is”. The Getac F110-EX G7 takes a factory-fitted 1D/2D imager, and an HF RFID reader is optional too. Specify the scanner when you order.
Prices depend on volume, configuration and region, so both are on request. Contact us for a price.
